“The Public Service Commission’s release of their report on water pressure during the Evergreen Court fire is an important step towards understanding this tragic event. I first sent a request for SUEZ water pressure issues to be investigated in 2021, following reports that these issues impacted the efforts of firefighters. There is still much to be learned from this fire, but I am encouraged by the findings in this report that the issues experienced can be rectified. It is important that recommendations included in this investigation be taken seriously and that these changes be made so that Rockland is prepared for any future incidents.”
