Hillburn, originally called "Woodburn" and incorporated in 1893, is a village in the town of Ramapo, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located north of Suffern, east of Orange County, south of Viola, and west of Montebello. It is considered to be one of the more rural communities in Rockland County. The population was 951 at the 2010 census.

The Town of Ramapo issued the following statement following a deadly fire at the Evergreen Court Home for Adults in Spring Valley. One firefighter and one resident sadly lost their lives in the blaze.
“We are greatly pained by the tragic deaths of firefighter Jared Lloyd and one of the residents of Evergreen Court Home for Adults in the deadly fire that ripped through the facility in Spring Valley in Clarkstown,” said Ramapo Supervisor Michael B. Specht, on behalf of the Ramapo Town Board. “The Town of Ramapo joins with the Village of Spring Valley, the Town of Clarkstown, and the people of Rockland County in mourning these terrible losses, and we extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims’ families.”
“We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the brave firefighters, including employees of the Town of Ramapo, whose heroic efforts undoubtedly saved the lives of so many of the residents of the adult care facility,” added Supervisor Specht. “Their selfless acts of bravery serve as a stark reminder of how much we value and appreciate their incredible willingness to put their own lives on the line to save others. This was a horrific tragedy, and we are so thankful to the first responders who worked tirelessly and intrepidly to bring this raging fire under control.”
