Pearl River
Pearl River is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Orangetown, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is east of Chestnut Ridge, south of Nanuet, west of Blauvelt, New York, and north of Montvale and Old Tappan, New Jersey. The population was 15,876 at the 2010 census.
Pearl River is 20 miles (32 km) north of midtown Manhattan and just north of the New Jersey border. It is the first (traveling north) of three New York stops on New Jersey Transit's Pascack Valley Line.
In 2011, CNNMoney.com ranked Pearl River 78th on its annual "100 Best Places to Live" list.
PFLAG Art Exhibit at Pearl River Library
Orangetown Supervisor Teresa M. Kenny attended the PFLAG Art Exhibit: Artists Reception this past Tuesday, August 9th at the Pearl River Library. She was impressed with all of the artwork and even managed to score a painting for herself. The exhibit will be on display at the library for the month of August.

August 23, 2022 – Public Hearing:
- Postpone and continue the proposed zone change for a property on Gatto Lane in the Hamlet of Pearl River (from 7/26/22 to 8/23/22)
- Postpone public hearing to amend Chapter 43 in the Town Code to address zoning in the Hamlet of South Nyack (from 8/9/22 to 8/23/22)
- August 2nd at 7:00 pm, the Comprehensive Plan Committee will hold a Public Hearing on updates to the Comprehensive Plan.
Due to construction at Town Hall, the September 11th ceremony will be moved to Veterans Park in Orangeburg, NY. Mark your calendars.
