Blauvelt is a hamlet and census-designated place, formerly known as Greenbush and then Blauveltville, in the town of Orangetown, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located north of Tappan, east of Nauraushaun and Pearl River, south of Central Nyack, and west of Orangeburg. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 5,689.
Orangetown Public Workshop to be held virtually on October 18th
The Town of Orangetown invites residents to join them via Zoom to review progress and provide feedback on the future of the town. The meeting will take place virtually on Monday, October 18th from 7 to 8:30pm.
Drive-Thru Soup Supper on October 17th
The Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary will host a Drive-Thru Fall Soup Supper on Sunday, October 17th from 2 to 4pm, with pickup at the Blauvelt Firehouse.
Blood drive today until 8pm in Blauvelt
There will be a blood drive today, Friday, August 20th until 8pm at the Blauvelt Fire Company, 548 Western Highway in Blauvelt.
Hudson Valley Humane Society looks for owner of stray
The Town’s Animal Control Officer picked him up near Pine Glen Street in Blauvelt at approximately 10:15am. He is an intact male, no microchip, no collar. Super sweet and playful.
