This is a friendly reminder to please not blow or rake leaves into the street! Village Ordinance 1.3. “Placing Refuse and Other Materials on Streets, Sidewalks and Other Places” specifies that you cannot place piles of refuse in Village streets. Piles of leaves in the streets can clog storm drains and create dangerous driving conditions.
The village provides free leaf bags that are located on the front porch of Village Hall (328 North Broadway). The Village will collect these leaf bags from your property.
Thank you for helping keep our streets clean and safe!

Happy Halloween!
From 4-8 pm on Monday, October 31, the Village will close Castle Heights Ave from N. Broadway to N. Midland Ave, and N. Broadway from Highmount Ave to Birchwood Ave.
This is not a Village-sponsored event. Our DPW is closing the streets to protect the children who Trick or Treat.
We will try to accommodate local residents who need to get to their homes during these hours and we want to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation.
