Congers is a suburban hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, United States. It is located north of Valley Cottage, east of New City, across Lake DeForest, south of Haverstraw, and west of the Hudson River. It lies 19 miles (31 km) north of New York City's Bronx boundary. There is currently a countywide shortage of Volunteer Firefighters. Within Clarkstown, there are 7 Volunteer Fire Departments serving our community that are always in need of volunteers. If you are interested, or know someone who may be, please consider volunteering with one of these great organizations (linked below).

The dog park has two areas. There is an area for dogs 25 pounds and under and a separate area for dogs more than 25 pounds.
The dog park is open to Clarkstown residents only and all dogs must be registered with the Town Clerk.
You must adhere to the posted rules. The dog park is open dawn to dusk.

Picnic permits are available for Congers Lake Memorial Park and Germonds Park.
The cost of the picnic area is $50.00 at these locations.
The cost of the shelter at these locations is $150.00. NO REFUNDS.
There is a limit of 5 paid guests allowed to use the pool with a valid pool pass holder.
Radios / PAs are not allowed in the picnic area.
There is a $100.00 cash security deposit required for picnic areas and shelters.
